Two ways to connect Claude to your bank accounts

Option 1 — Claude.ai (browser & mobile)

The easiest way. Connect directly from your Claude.ai account in one click — no configuration file needed.

  1. Go to claude.ai/settings/connectors
  2. Search for mybanx.io
  3. Click Connect and complete the OAuth authentication using your mybanx.io Application Key and Client Key
  4. Start a new conversation and ask Claude about your bank data

Available on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.

Name: MYBANX
Remote MCP Server URL: https://mcp.mybanx.io

Then click "Add".


Option 2 — Claude Desktop

For users who prefer the desktop application. Add the following block to your claude_desktop_config.json file:

To find your config file:

  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Restart Claude Desktop after saving. You'll see the mybanx.io tools appear in your conversation.

What you need before connecting

  1. A mybanx.io account — free to create, no credit card required
  2. At least one connected bank account — supported banks cover 95% of EU accounts across 24 countries
  3. Your API credentials — generated in the mybanx.io Applications menu under "Collect Data"
  4. Claude Desktop or a paid Claude.ai plan — MCP connectors require Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise

Which banks are supported? mybanx.io connects to 2000+ banks across 24 European countries including Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, UK, and more. See the full list of supported banks.

Is my bank data secure? Yes. mybanx.io is regulated by the National Bank of Belgium and operates under PSD2. Your data is stored in Europe and never shared with third parties. Claude only accesses your data during an active conversation — nothing is stored by Anthropic.

Do I need a paid mybanx.io plan to use it with Claude? No. The free plan includes 2 bank accounts and gives you access to the MCP server. Paid plans unlock additional accounts and features. See pricing.

Do I need a paid Claude plan? MCP connectors on Claude.ai require a paid plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). Claude Desktop supports MCP on all plans.

Can I connect multiple bank accounts from different countries? Yes. mybanx.io supports multiple companies and accounts in a single login. You can connect accounts from different banks across different EU countries and ask Claude to analyse them together.

Does it work with ChatGPT? mybanx.io uses the standard Model Context Protocol (MCP), which is compatible with any MCP-capable AI client. Support for ChatGPT and other AI assistants is available — check our MCP server documentation for details.
